ASK 21 Question by chuck patterson
Hi folks, I have to remove the control surfaces from my K 21 for an upcoming inspection. Does anyone know what size rivets I will need to reinstall them? I can’t find the reference in my maintenance manual and the flight manual is 60 miles away at the gliderport. Thanks in advance, Chuck

ASK 21 spin ballast installation by Marc Arsenault
Hello all, We have just ordered a spin ballast kit (Tn 4a) for our ASK 21 from Schleicher. Can anyone relate their installation experience before we, pardon the pun, auger in? Specifically about the drilling the 12mm hole and the fiberglass cloth lamination. For those curious, I shall convey back...

ASK-21 - is a tail dolly necessary? by Dave Springford
My club is buying a K-21 for student training and I am wondering if a tail dolly is necessary for ground handling? We plan to get the tail wheel option - not the tail skid. Does the K21 balance like the Twin Astir so it is easy to turn on the ground when towing it back to the launch point? When...

ASK-21 control surface seals by kirk.stant
Our club (SLSA) just acquired a nice "pre-owned" ASK-21. It doesn't have any external seals (tape) on the ailerons and elevator. Is this worth doing, like on the G-103? Also, do any ASK-21 operators remove the main gear fairing when operation off grass? Bit of an argument developing in the club...
