ASK-21 fuselage dolly by
bildan
I've volunteered to repair a non-functional ASK-21 fuselage dolly and
to do it I need photos of one showing the original condition. Please,
if you have one in working order, take a few shots of the steel frame
works and email them to me.
This one has a scissor jack welded into place between two...

ASK-21 Parachute advice, please! by
Kimmo Hytoenen
Looks like Flexpack service time is 15 years only, so I have to
purchase 2 new parachutes for our ASK-21 trainer. Should it
be latest version of Flexpack, or something else?
Some chutes just do not fit in that plane, and in training use
(lots of 7 min flights from winch) caused wear & tear can...

ASK-21 Weight and Balance by
Carl Baxter
I'm trying to make sense of the weight and balance section in the
ASK-21 manual but having no success. They give an equation for r sub
R, which I assume is the empty CG, but it's not specifically called
out. The units don't balance; there is length on one side of the
equation and length squared...

ASK-21 wing weight by
Mark628CA
I am building a model of the WingRigger for the ASK-21, and in order to select the proper gas spring to support the wing, I need to know the weight of the wing panel. Anybody know offhand what the number is? I know there will be variations from glider to glider, but a general number will do. And,...

ASK13 hangar ceiling by
[email protected]
We want to hang up our ASK13 in our hanger.
Our ASK13 has a nose wheel and glass fuselage modification, that is why a rope or a band/strap hang is not possible.
We know there are 2 holes on the outside of the fuselage around the mid section of the cockpit.
Maybe this can be an option for...

ASK21 air brake bell crank repair by
Geoff Brown
I've been trying to find anything on the www that shows how to access the
pivot bolt that secures the air brake bell crank that is located in the air
brake box on an ASK21.
I've had no luck. Does anyone else have any pointers?
Thanks

Ask21 mi by
Cary Kennedy
Helping my flying mate who just bought a used k21 mi less than 200 hours. Wankel motor worked fine on first two launches. Third launch low rpm pre mature landing. Voltage is good, fuel at the injector is good. Motor will not start. Just pops and backfires. Any wankel wizards out there?

ASK21 vs G103 by
solo89
In a few weeks I'll take my check ride in an ASK21. All of my training
to date has been in a G103.
The examiner told me the ASK is a lot like the Grob just better.
any advice?
I'm a little concerned about taking my check ride in a glider I've
never seen, but not overly concerned. The performance...

assembly interruption a dangerous thing by
danlj
Dear List,
From time to time a pilot is broken or totalled because assembly was
in some way incomplete. I'm simply writing to remind us all not to
permit ourselves to be involved in conversation, however well-
intended, during assembly.
This is motivated by the fact that I discovered that the...

Assembly Problems by
JJ Sinclair
I have always had problems in getting the first main wing pin started.
Recently I did some checking and found that not all main wing pins are
created equal. Some come with generous tapered ends and others come
with a very sharp slope or no taper at all. My Genesis 2, for example
has a 4:1 taper...
