CNv ADC Connections Question by
Jim Meade
I seek info on the connections between the ClearNavII display and the CNv ADC plug.
The plug has 10 sockets. 1/2 speaker, 3/4 spoiler/gear, 5/6 spoiler/gear, 7/8 spoiler/gear/OAT, 9/10 Ground & power. The 3 center pairs are configurable.
I am using 7/8 for OAT. 3/4 and 5/6 are therefore...

Evan Ludeman[_4_]
As intrepid readers of r.a.s. already know, ClearNav CNvXC has been approved by the IGC for "all flights".
However, in order to utilize this capability, your CNv ADC (the "black box") must be briefly returned to CNi or one of our agents for calibration of the barograph and electronic sealing. ...

CNVV question by
Don Davidson
Hi, I'm planning to attend a mountain flying course at CNVV in St. Auban in June, and I'm trying to get answers to a couple of questions from others who have flown there.
First, I speak only enough French to mangle a dinner order. How much of an obstacle is that likely to be both for flight...

CNvXC to K6BT Cable by
Dan Marotta
Can anybody suggest where I could find a cable to connect my K6BT to my
new CNvXC vario? The cable that went with my 302 had a DB9 male
connector on one end and an 8-pin RJ connector on the other. My K6BT
requires an 8-pin RJ connector and the CNvXC has a 6-pin RJ female.
I'm digging through...

Coal Mining and Ridge Soaring by
scurry
I was doing some ridge soaring west of Boulder, CO on Saturday, and it
got me thinking about the "real" ridge soaring in the eastern U.S. I've
read articles recently, and heard a story on npr about "mountain-top
removal" coal mining in West Virginia. For those of you unfamiliar, the
overburden is...

I have also noted the OLC problem where, on occasion, the date will not
