How to strip a wooden aircraft? by
c hinds
Just obtained an all wood aircraft in sore need of repair and paint.
Plywood wing skins and fuse.
What is the proper method for stripping. Primary concern is damage to
the underlying plywood and glue joints.
Is it just sand, sand, sand ? or will chemical strippers suffice.
Any advice...

Kitplanes CD-ROM directory by
David Smith
Is there a store or other source that still has old copies of the Kitplanes
magazine CD-ROM that has a database / search facility for kit aircraft? The
magazine no longer sells the information in a CD format, so I am looking for
suggestions.

Ultralight costs by
Bob Martin
How much would a standard ultralight cost in terms of both purchase
(or building) and operating?
What about a 2-place one? Yes, I know they are technically not
ultralights, but I'd get it registered as an airplane.
I ask because I'm going to build an airplane of some kind a few years
from now,...

Frontier MD2 by
rich a.
Last week I saw a Frontier MD2 sold on ebay. The photos showed a high
wing, convential gear, powered by a Walter LOM engine. I think it was
metal construction built from a kit. Seeking more info i did a
"google" , nothing found. Anyone know who makes
(made)it?.....website?....anything about it?

Carbon fiber vs. antennas by
Jim Weir
Yes, I got results on the carbon fiber and I would have SWORN that I posted them
to this site.
Putting a GPS antenna UNDER a small bowl-shaped carbon fiber radome immediately
killed any GPS signal into a 27 dB gain active antenna INCLUDING satellites that
were directly overhead.
Figuring that the...

multi engine ultralight trainers by
jic
Why are there no multi engine ultralight trainers?
I have about twenty hours behind a 912 and two forced landings already.
It sure would be nice not depending on a single powerplant.
Are two 40 hp engines unable to do the work of a 80hp?
