PW-5 Panel-Need to buy, lease, or borrow by
[email protected]
I need to buy, lease,or borrow a small PW-5 panel. The panel will be used to prepare for and fly in the World Glider Contest in Chaves Argentina. I would perfer to buy so that I can cut up the panel to fit my needs. It does not need to be pretty.

sliding membership in our US soaring activities, along with all the
other trailing bad news, i.e. SSA building in need of big repairs,
there is no soaring operation in Hobbs, I'm curious about thoughts of
"what if the SSA became a...

Safety Corner-Nov/issue by
snoop
I'd like to make a comment about this months Safety Corner. It's been
over twenty years since I flew the HS125, but I do know that, "With the
nose up", "passing through 350 knots", you would be going UP like a
homesick angel, not "losing altitude", as the author guesses. Besides I
believe that vmo...

15Meter Uvalde weather by
snoop
Haven't seen any postings, with regard to todays plan, as of 11am
central, but I'd say the day is done, based on the forecast. Low
ceilings and spotty showers.
Anyone know differently? Thanks!

Fatal accident near Wenatchee, WA by
[email protected]
Surprisingly no one has posted this before now. There is a high plateau
just north of the airport. A basalt cliff drops several hundred feet to
the valley (and airport) below. Most soaring is done on the plateau.
There is a temptation to try to squirt over the rim if you get low,
even though there...

How to Buy a Glider Afordably, or Euro vs ContraFund by
[email protected]
A year ago I suggested that the way to counter the high Euro was to
invest your money and wait. As an investment vehicle I recommended the
Fidelity ContraFund (FCNTX). Now, I am not one to make idle
suggestions: I am personally heavily invested in this fund.
Here are the results one year...
