Discus 2c polar by Brett
I am about to take delivery of a Discus 2cT (18m only) & am requiring some polar information to program into my 302 - in particular the airspeed corresponding to a 2 m/s sinkrate. S/H do not supply performance data. Can any other owners help?

XCSoar closing after airspace warning? And 1st 2hr flight. by tstock
Anyone had this issue? I'm just a beginner but I did my first 2hr flight today (I was not the sink meter for once), and tried to use my PNA with XCSoar to log my flight (really just for something to do) .... I pulled it out once every 30 minutes or so to check on it, and saw and airspace warning...

Inexpensive, tiny gps logger by Richard[_12_]
This is being touted for use in cycle touring, but might be of interest for soaring use, as well. http://global.mobileaction.com/ - Rich Karas (used to fly a Diamant HBV and Libelle 301)

Help with shipping by [email protected]
Can anyone give me a idea on who to contact in order to ship my glider from Seattle, WA area (or maybe Portland, OR) to Bremerhaven, Germany? I ran into a brick wall. I want to ship my glider with my trailer, for ease of transportation here and in Europe. Some of the brokers want me to remove the...

XCSoar wind calculation by Martin Gregorie[_5_]
BTW, on Friday I was flying with LK8000a9 and noticed that while I was thermaling the wind was being reported as 4 kts @ 260-270, but after I'd been in cruise for a while it had switched to 11 kts @ 350. This switch was consistent through the flight. The IGC trace shows that the thermaling wind...

Review: ICOM IC-A14 Handheld Radio by ContestID67[_2_]
My club purchased an ICOM IC-A14 to supplement our existing ICOM- A4's. The ICOM-A4 has been recently discontinued. It has a simple limited keypad (no numbers) which is perfect for a club using only one frequency. We keep them "locked" to prevent accidental mis- communications from inadvertently...

Maybe I missed something, but what happen to the RAS archives? Seaching the group for something like LS4 results in 5 hits - all from last month.

Kudos to Cobra by V1
In an age when customer service does not always measure up to what we’d like, those who excel deserve to be recognized. I had seriously bent a part on my 2-year old Cobra trailer. It was my fault during a rushed disassembly in the rain at a recent regional contest. I checked around the US to find...

DG-100 FAA AD 2009-20-04 Elevator Control Bearing Stand by ContestID67[_2_]
This AD came out in the last few days and sent me into a tizzy. This has to do with the elevator bearing stand breaking loose. All applicable ships must grind off and replace the difficult to get at fiberglass and metal stand by Jan 19, 2010. The part itself is 39 Euros (plus VAT and shipping,...
