real cruise speeds by
[email protected]
In reality, what do you guys see as typical cruise speeds for the 172R
(1997 standard equip)?
What about the R182 Skylane RG (1978 vintage, constant speed prop)?
I ask cause it never seems to me to be what is in the AIM or POH (I
got seriously *limited* experience on this)

Moller take note... by
Bob Kuykendall
A non-functioning "flying car" with no engine, essentially a mockup,
is currently at $45,000 on eBay. Item number 220188946461.
I'll be interesting to see how this auction shakes out. At that rate,
there seems to be more money in movie props than in real aircraft.

Wood Laminations and Springback by

I'm working on the center section for a Hatz. The trailing edge of the
center section is a recurved lamination that provides better access to the
front cockpit.
I've steamed and clamped the strips into a form, and they have taken on some
of the curve, but when I unclamp 'em after they dry, I get...

ZZzz Campbell Lawsuits Dismissed ZZzz by
Ron Wanttaja
Jim "Captain Zoom" Campbell and ANN entered 2007 with three ongoing lawsuits.
By the end of the year, all were dismissed. Most of the action occurred over
the past five months, and I've held off posting updates since things have been
fluid. It's been a month since the last court order, so the...

homebuilt aircraft on the web? It should have an engine and be able to

Detecting Menopause Through Testing by
[email protected]
Menopause comes from two Greek words that mean "month" and "to end,"
and the current medical definition of menopause means exactly the
same: the absence of menstruation for twelve months. Menopause can
occur between late thirties and late 50s, and not a single woman can
avoid this period....

twin-engine kits available by

I'm doing some research on what kits are available that are a twin-
engine design.
I'm looking at possibly building and was curious since Google finds
the obvious but didn't want to wade through 20 pages of stuff to find
the non-obvious.
Thanks.
