For an estimation of the 'real price' of a glider,
real estate is not of
much help. If you compare it to the mean of yearly

We should have cu in most areas with bases eventually near 15000 ft. Winds from the west 15-20 knots. Much less chance for OD today. Primary assigned task for 263 miles. Launches underway-began at noon local

Pawnee gascolator strap needed by
Bob Youngblood
I have been working on getting a Pawnee ready for towing and I need a connector strap and wire fastener for the gascolator. It is the same strap that goes on a Comanche and Pawnee. Let me know if you have one that you can depart with. Bob 772-453-9999

This 2-33 is up for a salvage bid. If you look at the photos, there is no vario in the glider!

Sky Sailing in Early March? by
Jeremy Zawodny
I need to be in the San Diego area for a conference in early March and
am contemplating taking a few extra days off and driving down there
(from the SF Bay Area) with my glider rather than flying. I've done
this before, going to Pasadena and flying two days at Great Western

Old Cambridge GPS Nav by
Ross[_3_]
Powered up an old Cambridge GPS Nav today and the LCD Display gives me the warning to check the LCD Cable.
Having done this, made a new cable etc, I have still got no solution to the problem.
Any suggestions other than the rubbish bin? :)
Cheers

Fun with a Variometer, Aka watching paint (water) dry. by
Brian[_1_]
Was playing with an old variometer the other day, actually was looking into re-balancing the needle so it reads at 0 instead of 200ft up. As a test I put drop of water on the needle, here a youtube video of what happens..

Grob 109 - Are hand controls available? by
YFCpilots
Does anyone out there know if hand controls are available for the Grob
109 Motorglider? Or if there are any motorgliders available with hand
operated rudder controls?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Wing tip wheels, one or several? by
[email protected]
Our self-launch glider has downturned wing tips. From the factory, there was nothing more than a skid to make contact with the ground. Over time, people seem to have settled on putting a roller-blade wheel there, presumably because it dramatically improves ground handling. However, the wheel isn't...

Felt by
Jay Campbell
Many of you use, or could use, felt for lots of things in your trailers (fitments, pads), your dollies, wing stands (maybe). I know that over the years, felt has been a part of every one of my winter's project list.
I used to have an industrial supplier "down the street" and got off-cuts from him...
