IGC file viewer for Mac OS X - GammaFV by
Richard Lancaster
I've just uploaded a very simple IGC file viewer application for Mac OS X
to:
http://www.carrotworks.com/
It has exactly three features:
1. It's a native Mac OS X app that should work on Tiger, Leopard and Snow
Leopard on both PPC and Intel architectures.

GammaFV 1.1 - Mac OS X IGC file viewer by
Richard Lancaster
I've uploaded version 1.1 of GammaFV to:
http://www.carrotworks.com/
GammaFV is a simple Mac OS X IGC file viewer that plots the geographic
trace of a flight onto a terrain, satellite or road map.
Version 1.1 can now colour the trace with vertical speed data.
Vertical speed colouring might be a...

Standalone artificial horizon by
Richard Lancaster[_2_]
Hi all,
I’m looking for a reliable, high quality, standalone artificial horizon that fits cleanly in a round hole (I’m not wanting a square barnacle that “fits” into a round hole).
Does anyone have any flight experience with either of these:

Hi all,
I got a bit bored and started filming some glider electronics experiments. I am attempting to pitch them to be interesting and understandable even if you don't know much about electronics.

LS6 canopy gas spring by
Richard Livingston
We (3 owners) have an LS6 with a "tired" gas spring that lifts the canopy. A simple google search and visits to Wings and Wheels does not turn up a source or specifications for this spring. Does anyone know a replacement part number, or specifications, or a source for a replacement gas spring?

Oudie/Flarm alarm from my own ADS-B/Transponder by
Richard Livingston[_2_]
I recently installed a Trig TT22 transponder in our LS6. Today I got to fly it for the first time and I was getting constant conflict alarms on my Oudie about traffic at (for e.g.) my "6 O'Clock and 35ft above me" The only way I could figure out how to silence these alarms was to set my...

LX7007C - Firmware expired by
Richard Maskell
I'm posting this mainly as a sanity check. I seem to be banging
my head against a brick wall with LXNavigation. I'm in a
DuoDiscus syndicate. The glider had an LX7007 IGC FLARM
fitted with rear seat repeater. Last winter we had the units
factory upgraded to the new LX7007C, with the new colour...

Landing with reduced airbrake by
Richard McLean[_2_]
Hi guys,
Our club is having a discussion about the merits of reducing airbrake on
short final (well before the flare) in order to reduce the rate of descent
on
the last part of finals - in particular after using full airbrake to
correct an
overshoot i.e. you are still overshooting but reduce...
