Is there a place to find the cumulative results for this contest? I can find the individual day results on the SSA webpage, but no cumulative results.

Taking US registered Experimental Glider to Canada? by Paul Villinski
Just as a "hypothetical," say one wanted to relocate to Canada for a period of, say, four years or so -- maybe eight, maybe permanently.... And one owns a glider registered in the Experimental, Racing and Exhibition Category. Are there issues bringing this along? Can it be flown there with US...

Runway lights and wingspans by Bret Hess
What rules of thumb for min width do you use when choosing runways to avoid lights for 15m and 18m ships? Crosswinds? Are the lights at a standard distance from the asphalt in the US? Do any of you hang your wings over the lights?

"A" vs "B" by C2
How much performance advantage does an "A" model (Ventus or Discus) have over a "B" model. Looking for some numbers, but I can't seem to find anything definitive.

left-right play in SGS 1-26 stick? by son_of_flubber
I could not find anything relevant on the 1-26 Association's website, and my Google-foo fails me. I recently flew a rental SGS 1-26C and I'm wondering if anyone can offer information regarding left-right play in the stick. Is this normal, dangerous, fixable? Measuring at the top of the stick in...

Minden FIRC by Tom Knauff by GARY BOGGS
I drove 11 hours to attend this FIRC from Tom and Doris and is was well worth it! The first time I attended a safety seminar by Tom almost 20 years ago it changed the way I flew. This clinic has changed the way I'm going to teach. If you ever have a chance to go to one of his presentations, do...

FAA General Aviation Activity Survey??? by HoUdino
One occasionally gets an "FAA General Aviation Activity Survey" in the mail. The questions are tied to your N-number and most have little to do with soaring/gliders. Where is this data massed and is it easily accessable? Do they separate gliders as their own category? If not, is this...

EW loggers and Linux + WINE by Martin Gregorie[_4_]
Has anybody tried succeeded in getting the EW Uploader to run on Linux under WINE and successfully talk to an EW Model D? I'm using WINE 1.1.9 under Fedora 9. The uploader seems to run OK and can see the logger when I boot it, but for some reason its not managing to login to the model D. The...

Doris and I just finished a successful Glider pilot safety clinic and Flight instructor revalidation clinic at Minden, Nevada. Pilots came from nearby states, as far away as Seattle, Washington. We received many positive comments about the value and content of the clinic. Everyone will benefit...
