Lennie the Lurker by

Not dead, not crawled under a rock and went to sleep.
About five or six years ago, I lost the use of my left eye. My dominant eye, and reading the computer isn't easy, even with a 27 inch monitor. Problems with my hands, the result of too many years of grabbing levers and chuck wrenches, typing...

What 'hit count' means by
son_of_flubber
Every time I open a thread to make a post, or read newly added posts, the 'hit count' is incremented by one.
Say a thread continued for 10 days and new posts were made every day. If I opened the thread to read the new posts once a day, the hit count would be incremented by 10.
Say there were...

Just wondering if I could get some ideas and recommendations regarding transporting a sailplane from Southern California to Georgia. Does anyone know of a service that specializes in this kind of thing? Thanks.

Time to clean out your closet, or panel... by
[email protected]
Seems like from recent posts some are doing just that. I don't have
near 2k to dump on a finiky, last century technology mech vario, that
self destructs in a 25 k dive (Ask me how I know)
BUT, if you have a Ball 700 or 400 series vario, with a working audio.
I'll pay more than it's...

Charlie Spratt update by
DRN
Hi All - I visited Charlie on Tuesday evening. He's in pretty tough
shape. He misses all of you and appreciates all the cards. Hasn't lost
his spunk despite the health trauma:
Charlie: Nurse, I'd like a couple Tylenol to knock this fever down a
bit.
Nurse: We're not allowed to give you anything for...

Cloud Flying/ R. Barry by
Shawn Knickerbocker
It is a personal preference ….just like flying ridge,
wave, etc…and personal selection that some may want…if
it is not your choice, by all means do not do it….
It does result in a tremendous amount of altitude in
a short period…take practice and qualifications, just
like other aviation...

Gliding in Israel by
Sid
I just returned from an awesome tour of Israel.
Was pleasantly surprised to see gliders on tow over the Jezreel Valley
(from the top of Megiddo), but the tour guide would not drop me off and
return for me later. :(
I found some basic information online about clubs in Israel.
Can anyone provide...

Trying to locate the drawings for the wing hinge AD for the L-33.
I pulled the instructions off of LET's site, but it references drawings

Looking for someone that may have access to these drawings?
Thanks,

Gliding International Article by

In the most recent edition there is an article focused on the newer wing-fuselage junction designs. On page 5 there is a picture of a sort of gull wing design at the root and its identified as an Mu 31. On the following page there are three more pics of an Mu 31 that, to my eye, look nothing like...

Hi everybody. I am testing the XCSoar program on a Kobo Mini. I ask for your help to know how to prepare some useful pages to navigate on local flights. My interest is to know at all times: Distance and course to the field. Altitude necessary to arrive. Should I schedule a task for this purpose? I...
