Russia AC4-M for sale by
Bob
My partner and I decided to sell our Russia motorglider since neither of us
seems to have time to use it enough to justify it. The link at the bottom
of this post has all of the pertinant information. The little ship is very
nice, easy to handle on the ground, a joy to fly in the air and almost...

Marske Flying Wings do not stall by
Marske Flying Wings
I did a modest cross country in the Pioneer IId yesterday but what is most
interesting was that I am exploring all of the flight envelope and yesterday
was stalls. When I pulled the stick all the way back slowly I suddenly found
that my airspeed had fallen to zero where I held it for quite some...

Will be passing through Hawaii next November, stopping for three days, and I
am interested in taking a flight while there. Any recommendations where to
fly? I am not looking for an 'Intro ride', but have time only for a single
day.

Whats the best "FREE" soaring program for the PocketPC by
Siggi Ingason
Hi,
before I put my hand in my pocket and pay for a soaring program which
I can use on my iPAQ, I'm interested in hearing what people think of free
programs like XCSoar and GPS_Log or any other soaring programs which run on
the iPAQ.
I must confess that I also have a Palm pilot Vx and think that...

Flap detents on Blaniks by
spektr
If Blaniks benefit from a bit of flap when slow, why can't
you add a detent to allow it. Seems to be as simple as a
field approval in the log book. Allow deployment within
the currently allowed speed range for flaps and viola, done.

Junior rudders by
Basil Fairston
Someone at a UK club sent me a repair scheme to stop the front of the rudder
bulging at the rib lines and therefore rubbing on the fin. I have lost the
details. Please contact me again.

Runway Observer for Glider Operations by
rjciii
It is highly likely, upon the completion of an upcoming formal safety
inspection, that the local FAA will concur with the LGC Airport
Authority's rule that the glider club must post an observer to
visually clear the crossing runway as a requirement to operate gliders
at this otherwise uncontrolled...

Well, it finally happened -- On June 27,2003 Mark Boyd, flying a PW-5

flight, all World Class CA records remained open. Thanks to Mark for
making the effort to start the ball rolling. How about you other PW-5
pilots in...

I am looking for satellite images of convective clouds on an almost real time

NOAA. I have been looking at the GOES EAST EASTERN US VISUAL. I have not been
able to zoom in. Any help would be appreciated.

negative flaps--what speeds? by
303pilot
The manual for my 303 Mosquito is silent as to when the use of negative
flaps becomes beneficial during cruise. Any pointers as to what speeds are
associated with -1 and -2 flap positions? Any data on the LD benefits of
negative flaps at higher speeds?
I read Dick Johnson's flight eval (Aug '79)...
