Moving a Cobra trailer? by John McLaughlin
Can anyone advise the best way to pull a Cobra trailer backwards out of its parking space, using a vehicle? I suspect that the two handles on the back of the trailer, or rather the structure they're attached to, wouldn't be strong enough. There are two aluminium skids on the bottom of the...

Mylar replacement by Bojack J4
How often should the mylar be redone on a horizontal stab/elevator? The glider is always stored indoors in its trailer, and everything looks fine with the factory installed tapes, etc. There is sometimes a quiet air sound that changes pitch with elevator deflection especially when cold.

Autoconnect water ballast valve kit by Bob Kuykendall
I'm gearing up to make a couple sets of water ballast release valves for HP-24 kits, and I'm curious if there might be any interest in them as retrofits for other gliders. I've seen some really goofy setups where you have to manually connect hoses inside the fuselage, with awkward arrangements of...

Flightline FL-760 Experiences - Any Updates? by Six-Seven
It has been about ~2 years since the last RAS article on this radio. At that time things were very positive. Now that time has elapsed some birthing pains may had become apparent. This is similar to the early Microaires which definitely had some pains during the early days - but which seems to...

OLC 2013 season ended? by Ramy
Looks like the 2014 season has started one week early. According to the published rules, the last day of the 2013 season was suppose to be the 2nd Monday of October, not the first Monday. Ramy

Xponder installation for a V2cxT by Bob Caldwell
Hi Folks, I am about to install a xponder. I have read Eric's paper on the subject but still have a couple of questions specific to my ship. 1) Antenna type and mounting location? Coax routing to the antenna? I have heard some SH gliders mount the antenna under the glare shield but I would...

Bending Plexiglass by Tony Condon[_2_]
I need to make a new section of the canopy on the Cherokee. Its a pretty simple bend, not really a compound curve or anything. But I dont know anything about how to do it. I suspect that I need to heat the plexi up and then weight it to bend, repeat as necessary? Im sure that several of us have...

Last week, after complaining about split finger tips, two of the guys at the airport recommended, and swore by, a product called "Working Hands". They told me I could get it at the hardware store so I stopped by the store on the way home and got a can. It comes in a round, green plastic can...
