Stay in, or get out? by
Dan G
You've had a whack, but everything feels fine. Do you stay in the
glider, or leave? Just how reliable are the parachutes we use? I
understand that they're fairly simple quick-opening designs, but
there's no reserve, right? Has a glider-pilot parachute ever failed?

Staying safe in wave by
bumper
Fred LaSor of "SoaringNV" at Minden, wrote a short piece on wave flying
that's worth the read.
http://www.pacificsoaring.org/articles/Staying-Safe-in-Wave-Fred-LaSor-12-2008.html
Fred refers to the mnemonic PRICE (I had to ask him what the I-C-E part was.
That's Pressure, Regulator, Indicator,...

STC for 180 HP Pawnee Available by
[email protected]
Converting the early 150 model to 180 hp is now available through Mike Horton of Lubbock, Texas. The STC allows for the o320 to be replace with the o360 A1A. The late Jeff Cloud had the arrangement in his tow plane and it was very good. No it is not a 235, nor should it be, but it is a very...

STC for Outside Mirrors for Pawnee by
Carl B
I've Googled for STC's for outside mirrors for Pawnee but haven't
found any hits since 2004 and no link to an STC. There have been a
couple of messages about the FAA requiring the removal of outside
mirrors which did not have STC's.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get an outside...

Standard Cirrus gliders that they can only have "light gray or blue

Std. Libelle Rigging Kit by
Roger Fowler[_3_]
I have a homemade set of Std. Libelle rigging aids. I believe one person
can assemble using them. I am willing to let them go to a good home for
the cost of shipping. (Might be expensive - some of the parts are big.)
Otherwise they go to the dump.
