Cheap transponders by
Ramy
With the shift to Mode S in Europe, it presents an opportunity to
purchase low cost used transponders from there. Some of them are on
Ebay. I just bought one for $1100 including shipping - an almost new
Becker in perfect working order + Encoder + wiring harness. Add couple
of hundreds for...

Greasing Al-Ko Surge Brake by
rlovinggood
My trailer has an Al-Ko tongue, surge brake, and axle assembly. There
are two grease nipples on the tongue. How much grease do you pump
into the system?
I'm somewhat used to some old stuff (cars, lawn tractors, etc) where
you pump in grease at the nipple and keep pumping until you see...

Seniors Contest by
rlovinggood
Preliminary Scores have been posted for Friday, 13 MAR. And an
unlucky Friday the 13th it is, if you fly the expensive super
gummisegelflugzeugenthingies. For out in front was an "old" and
"outdated" LS1-f. First place today for Sam Giltner in his finely
tuned aircraft from the "Flying Blind"...

Hello!
What does it take to became a IGC's Official Observer in your country?
Are any courses, trainings, exams organised? Are there any documents
regulating this?
Thanks for all replies.

Wave Alert and record holder caught cheating? by
bumper
Hi all,
Below is a copy of SoaringNV's (glider FBO at Minden, NV) most recent wave
alert email. Towards the bottom is a shameless account of what some may
construe as flagrant cheating by pilot Gordo Boettger in a not so obvious
attempt at cornering a world record in the new 52 meter open...
