Classes? by
XYZ
My last less than sucessful post was an attempt to provoke thought about
handicapping.
I really think the SSA and SCCA have the same problem. Too diverse a
selection of equipment and
too many classes to race them in. SCCA has spec this , spec that, local
classes, national classes,...

Rolladen- Schneider LS3A flap seals- Do they really make anydifference? by
Dan Marotta
Oh...Â* Flap to fuselage wiper seal.Â* I thought you were talking about
the flap to wing seal.Â* I made those for my Mosquito decades ago from
material pulled from the trash cans in the hardware engineering lab
where I worked at the time.Â* I don't know the thickness of that stuff.Â*
It was...

Gapa Geezer would be proud by
Tony[_5_]
Today I think I set career highs and lows. Highest circling percentage that I can remember associated (naturally) with probably the lowest average climb rate of a cross country flight I have ever flown. SeeYou says 63% circling and .7 knots average.

GPS-NAV - IPAQ cabling quest by
Guy Byars
I want to use the serial cable attached to the docking cradle of my IPAQ
3800 to connect to the serial port on a GPS-NAV. Does anyone know the
pin -to- pin connection schematic for this cable? Or is it a plain null
cable?

GPS Visualizer update: Auto marker lists + more by
Adam Schneider
A few changes to GPS Visualizer lately which are worth announcing:
* Google Maps: a lot of changes here, although a few are under the hood
where most people won't notice them. The most notable is the ability
to have GPS Visualizer automatically generate a list of waypoints and
display it...

Discus Cs grounded in France-long by
Dave Nadler \YO\
Thanks Robert for the nice summary. Also one should mention the shrinkage
that will normally follow with the broad areas of bonding paste, which
(depending
on post-cure handling) may lead to expensive refinish for a relatively new
glider...

Friends,
I had the good fortune of interviewing Mr. Lanier Frantz today. He
spoke on what a contest needs to get it going in the right direction.
Then demonstrated his sole responsibility at the contest.
A must see for all racing pilots and fans.
