"Winching in the evening" [movie] by
Peter Millenaar
I noticed one thing: The ASK-21 in your video has "braces" (Dunno
what they
are properly called) inside the canopy that those of my future club
don't
seem to have:

FS: LX-5000 FAI v. 11 by
Greg Arnold
LX-5000 FAI version 11. This is the very latest LX-5000 (when
discontinued in late 2003, the LX-5000 was only up to version 10). This
unit has hardware and firmware equivalent to that used in the LX-7000.
Includes December 2004 Jeppesen USA/Canada database.
LX sent this unit as replacement for a...

A Sure Thing by
[email protected]
First day of the Avenal contest this uear, the call was 25 mile turn
area task around just one turn (Buena Vista). I struggled for over an
hour and finally made it to about 25 miles north of the turn. Found
myself on a low ridge covered with oil wells. Flew down the ridge and
didn't find a thing....

Is expense of a new sailplane the reason? by
Nolaminar
There are pleanty of less expensive sailplanes.
The latest and greatest machines are not needed by most pilots.
. Just because someone can't afford the top of the line doesn't mean there is
no room for them. There are plenty of airworthy older sailplanes available at
reasonable prices..

Transponder Antennas...again by
Kilo Charlie
Has anyone had experience with installing a transponder antenna on the top
of their glider?
With as little level flight that we do and with most threats that have TCAS
coming from above it would seem logical that having it on top would not be a
detriment to the functionality of the instrument.
We...

XC Camp by
For Example John Smith
I've recklessly embarked on a campaign to organize an XC Camp and would
greatly appreciate any pointers from those who have done this. "What
works/doesn't work" info would be particularly welcome.
The target date is July 2-10. The location is the Soaring Club of Houston.
The club has recently...

Commercial - New ICOM Handheld Radios Available by
Paul Remde
Hi,
I just received my first batch of the new ICOM IC-A6 and IC-A24 handheld
radios. They are very nice. They are a little larger than the still
available IC-A5 and IC-A23 models. The larger size is by design - to allow
for larger keys and a larger battery.
Details are available...
