The SparrowHawk by [email protected]
Hi Gang I picked up the SparrowHawk almost a month ago from Bend, Oregon after flying it in marginal conditions there for just less than an hour. This posting updates my thoughts and experiences with this ultralight machine. Remember that since the SparrowHawk weighs less than 155lbs it can be...

DG 800B Power plug by HL Falbaum
I would like to find a North American, preferably USA, source for the charging plug and recptacle for a DG800B. The female part looks like a smaller diameter automotive cigarette lighter plug. The male, like a short fat microphone jack. I'm told that automobiles in Germany use these for acessory...

flight control failures by James Hamilton
Not a flight control failure per se but another 'loose' item jamming a control. Years ago a friend of mine purchased a used Diamant HBV. He had let me fly it on several occasions and one day I was flying in especially turbulent air (lots of rotor). The release knob, wood and slightly larger than...

THANK YOU TSA by Jack
I wasn't really trusting of the hangar where I keep my glider in 100 mph winds, and with Rita drawing bead on Houston, I decided to evacuate. I contacted TSA, my old home club, about possibly tying it down for the weekend. They graciously allowed me to do so. Thanks to Jim Rider, Bob Andriotti, and...
