Tom Rent
I am the author of the recent article on the 15m Ensign Sailplane Hangars in
SOARING.
We are please with the ones we've built at Stanton Airfield in Minnesota and
welcome other clubs and FBOs to learn about these quality kits. We recently
determined that shipment to Europe is much lower than one...

Commodious Sailplane? by
James Hamilton
Jim, I have a Ventus C (for sale). I am 6'2' and
about 200lbs. This ship has the 'b' cockpit (Schempp
Hirth made 'a' cockpits for pilots 5'10' and shorter).
I fly without the seat back (and with a parachute)
and cannot reach the rudder pedals if I put them in
the full forward position. If you...

commodious sailplane by
Andy Davey
I agree with Astir CS and club Astir, also K23. Haven't
flown any of the higher performance stuff..If you're
looking for wooden ships, then try a Skylark 4 - huge
armchair of a cockpit! But probably not too many for
sale over there.
Forget Ka6 and early DG ships...

Problem with SeeYou's web site? by
Roger Worden
Is it just me, or is the Naviter web site having problems? I can browse
through part of the site, but any .php pages such as
http://www.connectme.si/dload.php can't be found. I don't think it's my PC
or browser - other sites with php work fine.
I'd contact their support group, but the Support page...

SAM 303a
Been a lot of gloomy talk here lately so, as my first flying role model

like". The following info on some things we're doing that are working for
us. I hope it's useful to you in growing XC at your club.
I've been a...

Hi,
I will soon have in stock copies of a new book called "Sailplane Design - A
Guide for Students and Designers, From Drafting to First Flight" by Vittorio

so far looks very interesting. It is a very complete book at...

Fabric Softener sheet for mice by
Steve Leonard
I was having a problem with mice getting into my glass
ship. Dropped fabric softener sheets in the fuselage,
mean gear well, and the vent by the tail. No more
evidence of mice in the plane. Worked for me. Used
new Bounce. And the plane smelled nice, too!

Good Parts of SSA by
Ray Lovinggood
While fretting over the latest news about my National
Soaring Club, I consoled myself by finding one part
of SSA that I enjoy: reading well written articles.
Right now, John Good is producing such a product and
his first one of the Gran Prix can be found on the
SSA website...

The Audit, the board, the by-laws by
Frank Reid
There is still some confusion on the subject of the
audit, or lack thereof, and the board. The answer
given by the Excom to the members in their first statement
was not correct. That is 'the board decided .....'.
Then the attempted clarification was also not clear.
So let me state it very...

Fabric Softener Dryer Sheets for Mice by
Jim Vincent
The Oct 2006 Soaring mag has an article on building a kit sailplane hangar.
The author mentions that the kit includes "a box of fabric softener dryer
sheets to discourage mice from climbing up your main gear!"
I know of moth balls and ultrasonic speakers, but this one is new to me.
Anyone have...
