Strictly gliders? by
Jim Buckridge
Anyone know offhand what percentage of those with their glider rating
ONLY have their glider rating? Seems where I am everyone who flies
gliders has their PPL as well. But most of them seem to prefer
soaring :-)

And now on to the 1-26 by
Jim Buckridge
Hey all,
Just got my rating last month. Next time I'm at the field I think
I'll be getting into a 1-26 for the first time.
I'm nervous about flying a new ship. Is it like driving someone
else's car for the first time?
Any stories (serious and/or anectodal) on transitioning to a one
seater...

If you know this guy, have him email... It's jim not xavier in the
email address. Thx.

Hi all,
I'm seeking information regarding the RAF's Wave Project during 1961

I am particularly interested in the type of gliders used and if
possible to learn the identity of one which made a forced landing on
or around 28/01/1961 with Sgt Leslie Manley at the...

Pannting aluminum glider trailer by
Jim Culp
Shine it, with a protective polished coating inherent
in the product. Simpler than paint.
To make paint adhere to aluminum requires a lot of
preparation;
polishing does not take so much work.
You can hire unskilled labor to do the polishing,
Senor.

You may find these Air Transport Pilot (ATP) airman
credentials interesting.
These ATP airman credentials shew
glider rating only
with no airplane ratings. Can you explain this?
Can you do same?

Who benefits from annual SSA national convention?
Do glider and electronics vendors benefit by annual

or care from cradle to the grave?
Equipment should be pilot's choice, with pilot weighing
risks and outcome potentials.
Further, if pilot does not return from a gliding flight
let the contest...
