Gliders Performance Data by
Carl Buehler
I am putting together on one of my web-sites some glider
performance data for some gliders I fly.
Does anyone have the performance data for a Lark IS-29D2?
A search of the Internet does not turn up much.
I am planning to fly this ship soon. And wanted to find as
much info as I could.

Marfa Endorsement by
Robert de León
I just got back from Dick Johnson's Wave and Thermal camp in Marfa, Texas.
Unlike the last 3 years (which were good ones), the weather was all over the
board...yet it made for some very enjoyable days of soaring. There were wave
flights, some long XC flights, some casual thermaling flights, and...

Dad:
Click on the address above and it should take you to the gliding club
web site. The club is small and very informal. They have a couple of older
gliders that the club ownes and should be lots of fun to fly.

Devices for avoiding VNE? by
John Galloway
Through the contributions to the avoiding VNE thread
runs the theme of the difficulty of avoiding overspeeding
and/or overstressing some modern designs in accidental
spin recovery. This is made more difficult than in
older composite gliders because they had a little more
drag and a little more...

Marfa 2004 Spring Thermal & Wave Camp Report by
Dick Johnson
24 sailplanes and their pilots and crews participated in this year's
Marfa Texas Soaring Camp. Luckily we were blessed with good soaring
conditions during 6 of the Camp's 8 planned flying days. Spring comes
early to the Big Bend area of west Texas, and we had great thermals
during each of the 6...

Amazing soaring facts? by
Doug Easton
Looking for some help from the group... I'm putting together a presentation
(might be overhead viewgraphs and/or a series of posters) for the general
public on soaring and I want to catch their interest and imagination. For
instances might be: the world altitude record for a glider is close...

Great Visibility with iPAQ 3835 by
Rich Kiray
From a visibility standpoint, I recommend the use of the older iPAQs
for use in the cockpit - strictly from a visibility standpoint. I'm
using an iPAQ3835 with a simple screen protector and no back lighting.
The display is quite easy to read, even with polarized sun glasses.

iPAQ connection to Filser 5000 Slave by
Rod
The LX-5000 has a 9-pin connector for an iPAQ, but the slave (back-seat)
does not appear to have the same type of wiring setup. Can anyone give me a
hand on completing the wiring between the slaved Filser and the iPAQ?
Thanks,
Roderick
