That's never happened to me. Now that I'm aware of the possibility I'll be
sure to mention in future invitations that aerial photography of ground
installations without a Federal Permit is a violation of the Patriot Act.
That'll stop 'em.

Has anyone else noticed this? Many times when my offer to take someone for

ride is accepted, they show up at the airport with their camera. They tell
me they are hoping to get pictures of their
home/farm/neighborhood/dog/kids
from the air and want me to plan the flight with that in mind.
Needless to say, they are most often disappointed. I *thought* they were
invited for a *&^%$ airplane ride - not a blooming dirt mapping
expedition!
