MS Flight sim ---they say it has a good flight school in it????

Remember that this is first and foremost a game intended for

entertainment -
not training. Do not expect to be able to fly a real plane with anything
approaching practical test standards after going through MSFS "Flight
School".

However, it still is a valuable tool for practicing procedures. I agree
it's no way to learn instrument flying, but once you've got the basic skills
under your belt, MSFS -- or pretty much any other GA flight sim for that
matter -- is not a bad way at all to get a lot of instrument approach time
in, and it's cheap too. Sure, it won't count in your logbook, but that
doesn't mean the experience isn't worth anything.
