Paint for white fiberglass trailer top

I got an older Anschau Komet trailer that needs some care and decided to repaint the entire top side, which is white painted fiberglass. What paint would you recommend for doing this? I'd like it to be a bit glossy and waterproof, as the trailer will stay outside in summer but hangared in winter. Thanks!

I repainted one fiberglass trailer with Benjamin Moore gloss exterior latex house paint. Sprayed it with an HVLP sprayer. Looks fine, but has a little more "orange peel" texture than I would like due to not thinning the paint enough. Should have rolled it on. Note that it will blister if you trap moisture against it (like putting a tarp over it). Otherwise, it seems to be holding up very well.

Any of a number of quality "topside" boat paints are suitable. There are single part topside paints that are designed to be rolled on (or may be sprayed on). The advantage to roll on application is that you won't need expensive safety equipment and expensive spraying equipment. The single part paints have a big downside in that they don't sand out well like a two part paint. There are also good two part polyurethane topside boat paints that are designed for roll on application. They can be sanded smooth to take out any roller or brush marks. Several at my club have used this: https://www.thechandleryonline.com/p...roducts_id=582 to refinish their trailers. I am doing mine this fall with the same product. Five year-old refinish jobs look amazing, and it is not hard to do.
I imagine a sailing supply shop will have this, or similar, in Europe.

On my Komet I did a light sanding with a disc sander and then rolled on white house paint from Ace Hardware. It was a combo primer/paint, cant remember the brand. Still looks good a couple years later. I figured houses sit out in the sun all the time and the paint holds up pretty well

We have used reflective roof coatings such as Kool Seal. Seals up any
minor leaks and also reduces the temperature inside the trailer.

Well I was thinking this, but I would like to paint it myself, roller if possible, as it is much more cost effective and I don't like to outsource what I could potentially do myself

I refinished a Komet trailer 3 yrs ago with Boat paint . Self leveled and didn't see any roller marks afterwards. Came out great, UV protection as well although about $50.00 a Qt. I sanded first with an orbital sander 150 and used 5 coats .
Very good coverage for a qt.
Also afterwards I used a white roofing silicone along the galvanized base .

Use their primer first...you can sand, and prime, sand and prime, lightly sand until really smooth. then the top coat...look for their videos on the "roller and tip" method....won't be like an automotive pro spray job...but you can make a trailer look really nice...

That seems to be a good way to go. I'm talking to one of the painters at my work and he has offered to help with my glider and trailers. The company allows and encourages 'homers'

We have a 70m long paint booth at work which is used for the CF masts and booms that we produce.
