Default You can't fly to Canada

You can't fly to Canada without a current
medical. Yet. You can overfly Canada in your
lightsport plane if you don't land.

You can fly to the Bahamas in your Light Sport
plane if you're certified in that class.

And Mexico...well, who wants to go there?
You come back and your radio is gone.

Can you overfly Canada in your lightsport plane if you do land?

Yes, as long as you have a current medical.
The EAA is working with Canada to have them
recognize the American Lightsport category and
accept that certificated status, same as is now
being done in the Bahamas. Anyone holding a
current Private Pilot's certificate can fly
lightsport planes to Canada. There are mandatory
insurance requirements, and a minimum 2 hour
advance notice of your flight plan.

That leaves you out, MarkTroll. Mental illness, sorry that it afflicts
you, combined with high doses of Xanax and Thorazine, will keep the
devils away but ruin your chances of ever passing a medical. ;0)
