Santa brought me a Power Flarm. I powered it up, converted my ICAO
address from 51201552 to HEX A5036A, Got a GPS lock-on after going outside and everything seems to work as advertised. Of course, I won't know for sure until I get close to another aircraft that is on a collision course with me, will I ? Some questions: I have been running my trusty old Model 20 and a Garmin 100 driving the SN-10, with the addition of Power Flarm, I now have 3 GPS's and 3 data-loggers. Question; Can the GPS signal from the Power Flarm be used to drive the SN-10? If so, what is the wiring? Also, how do I up- load and down-loan info into the Power Flarm? The manual doesn't get around to discussing any of the above. My thought was to eliminate the Garmin 100 and still have 2 Gps's and 3 data-loggers and save a few mili-amps, which brings me to my last question; How much current does this puppy draw? Cheers, JJ |
