Dang It! I involuntarily gave away my trusty Radio Shack scanner a
while back. I need another one but before I go down to my local Radio Shack store, I thought maybe I'd solicit suggestions and comments regarding a different brand/model. I want a scanner that, in addition to aviation VHF, will cover the general VHF spectra. UHF would be good -- I live near a military airfield -- but not required. If you really must know, I had the last one on AMTRAK listening to the train chatter whilst on a trip cross country. When I got off the train, it didn't. |

Check out Radio Shack's Pro-97. It covers aviation, MilAir, UHF & VHF
Public Service. It does trunktracking for Motorola, EDACS and LTR systems. It has a feature that identifies and locks on to nearby transmitters. I've had one for a few months now and love it. The link is : http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...%5Fid=20%2D527 Doug |
