	Now, the question is about freezing rain. Speaking to instructors/examiners, the FAA oral/written position seems to be that since there must be warmer air above, one should CLIMB. That is not always the case. I would suggest the web-based icing course recently put up by NASA at http://aircrafticing.grc.nasa.gov/courses.html might give you some more insight into strategy and the risks you may be taking.
