On one of my $100.00 hamburger flights my VOR-Glideslope went in op.
Worked fine until I landed then at take of it would not register. I visually checked the antenna, but every thing seemed to be OK. That afternoon I flew to my avionics shop for a check up. Of course my plane is due for the 24 month Static check in June. Any ideas what could have caused it and ballpark on cost? |

It worked perfectly one flight and was absolutely dead by the next. No warning at all. It turns out the wiring harness simply came unplugged from the back of the indicator. KR |

Anytime I have an avionics failure I groan as I expect at least a $500 bill.

Sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised, but not often! I was pleasantly surprised. The avionics shop was honest and just fixed some loose connections. Of course I also had my 24 month static check performed. Hank |
