Child's headset

I am looking for a headset for my 2.5 year old son. I have been
through the prior posts on the subject but they are quite old. The
two that I have been looking at are the Softcomm Child Prince C-45-10
and the Sigtronics S-20Y. Does anyone have an opinion on either of
these headsets or manufacturers or any other recommendations for child
headsets? Myself, I use a Lightspeed 15XLc which I really like.

My mechanic has been flying his kids around in his Comanche for years. The
kids have worn the Softcomm C-45-10s since the youngest was about 3 yrs old
and they like them a lot. The A&P is convinced that they'll outgrow the
headseats long before they need replacement.

I built some pads that attach to my regular headset. I have use them
with Young Eagle flights and with my grand children as young a 3 years
old. I do not have a photo here, but can send you one. I took a piece of
1" thick foam that was about 2" x 5" and sewed a cover on it. I took a
piece of elastic tape about 1" wide and sewed it 90 degrees and in the
center of the fabric. I sewed velcro to the elastic tape. All this does
is provide a 1" spacer to headband when attached and seemed to work real
well. If I can remember I will recheck tonight and and send you a photo
directly. I made three of them.

Pilot Communications P51C comes in different colors (pink or red/blue).
And the Lightspeed QFR headset series fits most kids quite well and
grows with them.

I have used the David Clark DC H10-13Y for both my sons. I no longer
need a child's headset but the adult headband converted them into a
pretty decent headset that we continue to use.
