Region 10 North Contest Update

Howdy Folks,

Just wanted to update everyone interested in this contest. Things are
forming up very nicely for our contest.



As of mid-february:

16 pilots signed up on the SSA website (we are expecting 20-30 total)
(many others have verbally committed)

5 scheduled towplanes (2 club owned, 1 privately owned in the club, 2
external)

Water Ballast approved for the FAI classes........9 water spigots on
the club property to use from.

Free BBQ meal catered for the welcome dinner sunday night (also safety
meeting to follow)

MudBugs served tuesday night from the http://www.hyllecrawfish.com/
(crawfish, taters, corn and BEER)

Turnpoints updated and finalized at http://soaringweb.org/TP/Lawrence

Since we own appx. 100 acres privately for our cozy glider club, our
costs our very low. That being said, our costs are already met for
this contest to happen.....we will not cancel.

Still 2 RV spots open with hookups (water, electrical, wireless
internet). Others will have to use generators.

T-shirts have already been printed. Trophies were made through
CrownAwards.com. They are sitting on the shelf in our clubhouse
within reach for YOU to come win it.
