NEW REGION 2 CONTEST

What: The Mifflin Region 2 Contest May 15-21 is cancelled. A new
Region 2 contest is scheduled for May 21-27, Mifflin County Airport,
Reedsville PA. An informal practice day will be held Friday, May 20
if pilots choose to fly and weather permits. The mandatory pilots
meeting will be held Saturday morning.

Why: A stubborn, blocking weather pattern giving us our current rainy
weather is not forecast to move out of the area until the end of the
week. Rather than waste everyone’s time and money on a rainy week,
the contest organizers decided to schedule a contest for the next
period of flyable weather.

How: The SSA Contest Committee has granted the contest organizers a
waiver to schedule a new Region 2 contest, to be held Saturday, May 21
through Friday, May 27.
