I've been using 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner 08984 for decades,
but now I'm running low again and need more. Is there a better choice for removing wing tape adhesive in particular, and various other adhesives in general? -- Eric Greenwell - Washington State, USA (change ".netto" to ".us" to email me) - "A Guide to Self-Launching Sailplane Operation" https://sites.google.com/site/motorg...ad-the-guide-1 - "Transponders in Sailplanes - Feb/2010" also ADS-B, PCAS, Flarm http://tinyurl.com/yb3xywl |

It is a citrus oil based product, smells good, doesn't evaporate too fast, leaves no residue, and doesn't seem to harm any plastic or paint. Much easier on paint, plastic, and your hands than 3M Adhesive Remover. You can get it from Enco. |

Available at the local hardware store in the US. |

Goof Off and Goo Gone are most definitely not the same or similar products. Goo Gone is a citrus based product while Goof Off is a petrochemical based product (See MSDS at http://www.goofoffproducts.com//uplo...vers_MSDS.pdf).

Sawzall. How about 6 inch 36 grit disc, 10,000 RPM grinder, Bob? Then, follow up with 100 grit to smooth out the deep scratches? |
