Is there a softcopy someone can send me? ... or any helpful reference?
The running lights on my 2002 Cobra work properly but I get strange results with the turn signals, testing with three different tow vehicles. Are there any caveats I should be aware of in using 6-way-round to 4- way-flat and 4-way-flat to 7-way-blade adapters for the trailer? (I've never been able to find a 6-to-7 adapter. One of my tow vehicles is an RV with 6-way round, and my trailer has 7-way blade. I've found 7- to-6, but not 6-to-7, appropriately gendered.) ~ted/2NO |

Indeed, the first thing I do when I get hold of a Cobra trailer is take the tail light covers off, and swap the leads (no cutting or soldering required) for the turn and brake lights. As delivered, the brake lights are on a common circuit, and the turn lights are amber, so you can't get the 4-way "US standard trailer" combined red brake and turn signals without doing this swap... Dave,
The Cobra site has diagrams for 7-pins and 13-points. My Cobra has a 7- pin blade connector, which according to my on-site engineer says is wired incorrectly compared to the diagram. Has anyone changed the Cobra 7-pin setup to a 4-pin? My last Cobra trailer had a 4-pin flat connector. I'm wondering if I should switch it to that. ~ted/2NO |

Perhaps yours is the latter ? Is this trailer as new or has it been rewired ? See ya, Dave |

FYI: You can purchase a 7-to-4 pin adapter at auto
and RV supply stores. If you have a 7-pin female electrical plug on your car, this will convert it to the American 4-pin plug on many trailers.
