New Waas technology changes the rules
If you have been out of aviation for a time, there are some new terms to learn if you fly IFR. 1. RNav GPS which is lateral Navigation approach (LNAV) 2. Waas enable approaches or Approach with Vertical Guidance (APV) 2 a. LNAV/VNAV is Lateral Navigation /Verical Navigation (Not a precesion approach b. LPV is Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance. It is a precession approach. With minimums down to 200 ft -- Chopchinski Message Origin: TRAVEL.com
