Anyone know how *exactly* the missed approach works at BGBW:
http://www.slv.dk/Dokumenter/dscgi/d...B_DME_07-1.pdf Assuming your airplane can climb with a climb gradient of 6%, where and when can you descend to 1500 (note the table at the bottom) and where is your MAP in this case (note the beginning of the dashed missed approach course line beginning at the runway threshold in the plan view). The first part of the missed approach procedure is a climb straight ahead from 1500' to cross the end of the runway at or near 2400'. Why would you argue with the state's official AIP IAP chart? It says "MApt DME NQ 4 NM" and that is what it means, not what you might like to change it to. |

Gerd Whether you're using straight-in minimums of 1,800 (4% MAP CG) or 1,500 (6% MAP CG) you descend to either one of those OCAs (ICAO-speak for MDA) once you pass NQ 5.0 DME. The MAP for either straight-in 1800 or 1500 is at NQ 4.0 DME. With circling they don't show a climb gradient because all bets are off in PANS-OPS-land if you have to miss during a circle-to-land maneuver. |

The Jeppesen version is two charts, the second being for minimums for this IAP and others for the airport. |
