Shucks, I am not a baloonist. But from simple calculatins using
standard density at sea level - 1.22 Kg/CuM and Helium at 0.179 Kg/CuM - and good old Archimedes I get a boyancy of about 0.98 lbs. That is probably affected by the the balloon skin pressure on the helium (makes it shrink), and other factors. Somebody else double check this??? The http://www.allmeasures.com/ website has a lot of conversions and density calculations. John Doe wrote in message .. . How much weight will 15 ft.³ of helium lift? Mainly curious. |
