N681FD, A BELL UH-1H PUBLIC USE ROTORCRAFT, CRASHED UNDER UNKNOWN
CIRCUMSTANCES IN A GRASSY AREA, THE THREE PERSONS ON BOARD SUSTAINED
UNKNOWN INJURIES, SOUTH LAKE SHORE DRIVE, CHICAGO, IL

This wasn't by any chance the former Meigs site, was it?

UNKNOWN.

If this is the Fire Department helicopter that went down about a week
ago, then the site was a few miles south of the old Meigs field.

Sorry, I was making a rather weak attempt at a joke. With all the
"UNKNOWNS" in the report... well, you get the idea.

An unknown A&P left a pin out of the tailrotor which failed after a short
unknown amount of time.

Ew.

But how is it unknown? I've worked for operators, and NOTHING gets done
without a writeup.

I guess that zoomed over your head. OBTW if you think everything gets
