Hello,
Have radio monitoring as a hobby. Sr. Citizen now, so please put up with my dumb question a bit. A bit confused over the modes that are used for normal analog voice communications. If anyone could comment on these, would be most appreciative: a. Plane to ground, and vice versa, and also plane-to-plane, is always AM. True ? b. Oceanic communication, MWARA etc., is always USB. True ? c. if (a) and (b) are true, when at what point does the pilot switch from AM to USB ? How ? d. Tracon and Tower comms are both AM. True ? When is FM used ? Much thanks, Bob --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active. http://www.avast.com |
