Has any one the new pilots or wannabe pilots bought the Sporty's Video
series called "Recreational Pilots Training Course", or actually any of the video series? I sent off for a Sporty's catalog recently and when it came, it had vol 1 of the series on DVD along with a C-182 cockpit poster. My son is all excited because I told him that we were putting the poster in his bedroom. I watched the DVD with him and we both took the quiz after each section. He did really good for a 9 year old. He only missed 3 or 4 questions out of about 20 or more. The ones that he did miss were fairly hard for an adult, much less a 9 year old! Just wondering if the rest of the series is worth buying... It's $99, minus my 5% off for AOPA. I'm not a pilot yet, but when the money is available, I hope to be. I figure this series would be good for a heads up on what to expect. Here is a link that describes the series. http://www.sportys.com/courses/drec.cfm Thanks... Chuck --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
