Default Sedona

I need the wisdom of someone with experience flying to Sedona. We were
planning on going there tomorrow, but they're predicting thunderstorms
for the next three days so we're considering calling the whole thing
off. Am I being paranoid? I'm IFR rated, 700 hours, in an SR22 with a
stormscope but no XM. I have quite a lot of experience flying in the
desert and mountains, but mostly on CAVU days.

Advice from more experienced hands would be much appreciated. Thanks.
