Default SeeYou for iOS or Android? Update to desktop version?

Andrej has said on their forum that they are working on an Android version of SeeYou Mobile. Meanwhile, Oudie 2 (or GliderGuider/Avier/ VerticaV2) does an excellent job. The brightness of the screen is an overwhelmingly significant benefit, and the size is ideal for gliders. Ios devices are not as bright and are either too big or too small. Very few Android devices have screens which are as bright (Dell Streak 5 and the original Galaxy Note seem best but neither are current). I am not aware of the touch screens being low res - when the original Oudie came out it had a poor screen driver but I have not been disappointed by the touchscreen performance since then. The software works fine on the Windows CE devices. And you just have to accept that you need an external battery.
I would like to run SYM on a device with direct internet access so I will probably upgrade when Oudie 3 comes out - ideally for me an Android device with a bright 5" screen and WiFi as well as Bluetooth running SYM, and with an SD card slot for communication with other glider instruments. I expect there will soon be a number of other Android devices suitable for gliding including a new GliderGuider, so Naviter are probably hurrying to complete their Android version to avoid more users running away to XCSoar.
