![]() There are plenty of avionics shops who have done a terrible job on GX55, GX60, GX50, SL30, etc installs. The net result is only about half of the software features of the units are hardware enabled. That's sure the truth. The shop that installed my GX60 had the plane in/out of their shop for almost 9 months, and never did finish. With the GX60 plugged into the rack you (quite literally) have to hold your mouth right in order to hear either the ADF or the #1 Comm. The RFI from the GX60 allows me to play them like a tremlo. ----------------------------------------------- James M. Damn, that sucks. I haven't had any real problems with my GX-60 install, except for a minor mis-wire of the speaker wire (which I don't use anyway). Of course, I studied the install manual myself, and had complete wiring diagrams for my existing avionics (which I drew), and I drew a complete wiring diagram for the tech to use to install my GX-60, including exactly how I wanted things grounded, shielded, etc. -- Jay __!__ Jay and Teresa Masino ___(_)___ http://www2.ari.net/jmasino/ ! ! !
