As far as I know, it's standard on PA28. Rear side of the center
unit at the bottom. Check your Parts manual for the drawing.

Nope, not standard. I wish it was, though. That's an excellent
location. The standard location is on the right panel, right next to
and slightly below the yoke.

I'm pretty sure we have the same model ('68 D)

The new Aviat Husky's have two power port next to the headphone jacks.
They are not cigar lighter sockets. I don't know what the plug they
use is, it is smaller than a cigar socket, more like an RCA jack. I
guess you have to put adapters or different jacks on the end of your
cord.

Then there is the music port to the intercom, and the update port for
the GPS.... Lots of little plug in there.
