Wheel Pants Weight
I was wondering how much weight taking off the wheel pants would gain
me for cargo? I have a 1979 C152 with wheel pants and need to be able to carry a little more weight. I've heard around 18 pounds, but does anyone know for sure? PatW (a new pilot and owner)

IIRC, the main gear fairings on my '69 Cessna 150 weighed 18 pounds. Don't remember what the nose gear fairing weighed 'cause I never took it off. George Patterson None of us is as dumb as all of us.

The POH page ii (right in the front, Performance Specifications), says 2 knots gain with fairings installed. J. Severyn N24495
