The new windshield cleaner now being sold by Aeroshell works as well or
better than Pledge. Give it a try.

Ok, guys, Lemon Pledge has been increasingly hard to find around

reply is copied below. Obviously, we have to find another
product to clean bugs from the windshield and leading edges.
Suggestions?

Dear Gerry,

Thank you for your e-mail regarding Lemon PLEDGE® Trigger Spray
Polish. We always appreciate hearing from our consumers.

SC Johnson has decided to stop producing this product. Although
there may be product still available in stores, it will become
increasingly difficult to find as inventory is depleted. I'm
sorry for this disappointing news. Please be assured your
interest in Lemon PLEDGE® Trigger Spray Polish will be shared
with the appropriate people in our company.

Although we don't have an alternate recommendation, we appreciate
your interest in our products. I'm sending you a complimentary
coupon for you to try one of our other PLEDGE® products. We hope
you will enjoy using this coupon.

If you have future comments or product information needs, we
invite you to visit or e-mail us again at www.scjbrands.com.

Sincerely,

Stephanie M.

I second Otis' recommendation for Wash Wax All. The stuff is about $10
for a quart that lasts through 2 complete washes, it works great and
takes off even ancient bugs. I have started using it on my car as well.

For the belly, WD40 is your friend. Smells great (whee!), takes it all
off, and has the advantage of protecting the aluminum under that paint
rather than corroding it.

Is plexus still selling?

Yes, but the Aeroshell Flight Jacket stuff is MUCH better. At least
for dealing with giving the canopy a final shine and masking whatever
scratches there happen to be.

So say I who's got a trigger Pledge, Plexus and Aeroshell in the bag in
the back of my plane! :-) All personally imported from the US!

Can I just add to this that I use the plexus or pledge to clean the
windscreen of flies and dirt, then use the Aeroshell to give it a
final coat.

Many thanks for all the suggestions. Sounds like we may be able
to manage without Lemon Pledge after all!!
