Anyone upgraded a O-235-C 6.5 CR 100HP Lycoming using L2C 115HP 9.5 Pistons/Cyl?
If so is it bolt on or is there machining involved? Any better alternatives? I've heard someone sells high-comp pistons in the 10.5 CR range. Thanks! |

LyCon, in Visalia, (sp?) CA, sells custom pistons at whatever
compression ratio you want. I am interested in LyCon's pistons for my Conti E225. My stock pistons is 7:1 and LyCon told me that they can make a set for me with 8.6 to 1 as in IO-470N, or higher CR if I want. Does anyone have used LyCon's high CR pistons? Do you need to increase fuel flow or chang inition timing with higher CR pistons? |
