The god damn Dems are our biggest enemy. They believe in freedom
and wealth for them only. They want our weapons taken away so
we can't fight back as they redistribute what we've worked for
to some lazy ass that won't work for their own. They scare me far more

than
a bunch of
camel jockeys.

In fact, what do you expect from a guy who claimed under oath that he raped,
pillaged, and burned, Genghis Khan style, whole villages, shot babies, made
necklaces of human ears, and cut off fingers? Must be interesting to explain
that to your wife: "Well, we were young and out just having a little fun.
Boys will be boys, you know." But then he testifies under oath that he knew
all the other GIs were doing it, too. Such omniscience! A guy like that
might even order his minions to forge some documents discrediting his
political opponents, though it is more likely he expects them to come up
with stuff like that on their own.

The Dems appear to have an office of dirty tricks that would have made Nixon
green with envy. They appear willing to stop at nothing in their effort to
seize power through intrigue and deception.

Funny thing is, he never caught any of that on the movie camera he had with
him to re-enact his heroic exploits.
--------------------
“Mr. Memphis, believe me, it would be a lie if I didn’t tell you some years
back, Bob Lee had a problem with the bottle and had some wild times. He’s
always in pain, you know, because of the way he was hurt in the war. But I
believe Bob Lee has found himself in some way. All he wants from life is
freedom and to be left alone.”

“What about medals? Has he ever said anything about medals? Are medals
important to him?”

“To Bob Lee? Let me tell you something, son—were you in the war or
anything?”

“No sir, I wasn’t.”

“Well, son, the only people that are interested in medals are the ones that
are fixing to run for office some day. I went from one side of Burma to the
other with General Merrill’s Marauders in 1943 and 1944, and the only man I
ever saw who wanted a medal or cared about a medal later became the only
governor of Colorado to be impeached.

Wow! Sounds just like the job description for a polititian (regardless
of party affilliation)!

Are you referring to this kind of rhetoric?

Back in February, President Bush sat down in the Oval Office for an
interview with Tim Russert and spoke about his service in the National
Guard. Bush told us, "I put in my time, proudly so." He said, "And I'm
telling you, I did my duty."

But now we know that Bush dishonored the Oval Office by lying to the
American people.

New investigations from multiple media sources have revealed the truth
about President Bush's service. New military documents show that Bush
disobeyed a direct order from his commander to take a flight physical
and "failed to perform to U.S. Air Force/Texas Air National Guard
standards" -- and was grounded as a result.

New evidence supports claims that Bush missed months of service and
that he never showed up for service with the Alabama National Guard.

New evidence shows that Bush received special treatment. His
supervisor wrote that he felt pressured from above to "sugar coat"
Bush's records.

And Ben Barnes, former Lt. Governor and State House Speaker of Texas,
has come forward to say that he pulled strings to get Bush a coveted
spot in the Guard, which directly contradicts Bush's claim that he
received no special treatment.
Only Bush Can Answer Questions

President Bush has a lot to answer for. Only he can clear up the
questions regarding the discrepancies in his service record, and he
owes the American people those answers. Here are just a few of the
questions Bush must answer.

* Why did George Bush say "I did my duty" when he missed months of
duty in 1972, 73 and 74?

* How did George Bush avoid getting called into active service for
missing months of duty in 1972, 73, and 74?

* Why did George Bush disobey a direct order to take his physical?

* What standard did George Bush fail to meet when he was grounded for
failing to perform at US Air Force/Texas Air National Guard Standards?

* Why did George Bush go above his commander's head to ensure a
favorable evaluation he had not earned?

* Why did George Bush say he received "no special treatment" when Ben
Barnes says he pulled strings to secure a Guard slot for him?

* Who asked Bush family friend Sidney Adger to get Bush a slot in the
Guard immediately after Bush graduated and at the height of the
Vietnam War?

* When will George Bush produce any credible witness who can attest
to his service in the Alabama Air National Guard?

Take Action

You can help us hold Bush accountable. Sign our petition to President
Bush and demand that he answer the American people's questions about
his Guard service.

Drivel snipped.

Would you be referring to the "evidence" that is right now making CBS
News look like the National Enquirer? Wouldn't you love to be a bug on
the wall of some CBS staff meetings today? Fer Christ sakes they used
Microsoft Word or similar and a current generation printer. Real
professionals there at CBS.

Not so fast:

Am I the only one who finds it curious that people were challenging the
authenticity of these documents almost from the very moment they were
released?

These are such obvious forgeries it is no wonder at all. CBS is 'standing
by' their documents, but nobody else believes them.

I don't know about that. I've been following this a bit, and every claim
that "there's no way" appears to be countered.

For example, one claim is there was no typewritter that did proportional
fonts. But IBM had those out in the 40s. Another is that there was no
superscripting. But these were found in documents that the White House
provided from the Guard of the same era (those documents defending Bush's
tenure).

On the other hand, the signature comparison is idiotic. Experts claim that
this was the signature of the unit commander, but that has no significance.
The documents were such extreme copies of copies that a semi-decent
photoshop-er could have pulled the signature from anywhere and put it into
place.

What astounds me is that just about every article I've read on the subject
reported from a very particular bias (one way or the other), and left
certain facts out. I suppose I should be used to that, but here it's so
damned obvious!

So many "news" organizations have these strong biases that they have caused
a devaluation of the worth of their product. Throw in the internet where
publishing is cheap and trust and reliability are unknowns and you end up
with a very confusing situation.

Of course, this is not the first time that Kerry and associates have been
forging documents, is it? There was that little scam on Western Union during
the war, where friends and relatives of servicemen in Vietnam would get
telegrams beginning, "We regret to inform you that...." Nasty little trick,
that, but Kerry would probably just as soon that no one was reminded of it.
