Now that is a great question and one that can be summed up in a few ways,
there are a few trike geared light sporters but most are in deed
taildraggers. I will also take a taildragger course. As far as finding
planes to qualify in , join the EAA and ask around...you never know when
someone will let you rent their plane. Most of the members around me have
quite a few sport category planes from Ercoupes and Aeronca's to two seat
ultralight types. but as for your question I would say that the experience
of taildraggers will make for better landings and even better pilots. I
doubt if I will beat Ryan in his quest for building the Ultra Cruiser Plus
which is what I will build. Maybe even the mini-coupe as an added bonus if I
can find out more about them.

Another question, how many qualified sport pilot planes are tricycle gear?

Looks like many are tail draggers. Will sport
pilots be better at landing?

How many non flying pilots interested in Sport Pilot?
Has anyone taken a poll and gathered numbers on people interested in

Sport
Pilot now that it is official?
