It's just like riding a bicycle. I haven't been an active ham since the late '60's, but it still comes automagically. Back then, the general class license was a real badge of honor - 13 wpm if I recall correctly. Not me. When I got my Extra in about 1987 the code requirement was 20 wpm. I always hated the code, I tried to work some stations using it but I had zero interest in it. After 5 or 6 years I forgot most of it. I remember a few letters now but not too many. |
